On behalf of the secretariat, it is our pleasure to welcome you to SWCHSMUN 2023, our annual Model United Nations conference. We are excited to host this event at Sir Winston Churchill High School from October 27th 2023 - October 28th 2023. We will be opening up our registration process soon, be sure to keep an eye out for updates! We previewed the committees for SWCHSMUN 2023 at yesterday's closing ceremonies at CCSC. Here's the trailer once again:

On March 17-18, 2023 Churchill will host another Model UN, this time all of the committees will be crisis committees. This conference is called the Crisis Committee Simulation at Churchill (CCSC). Please check out this new website for this conference for updates: ccschurchill.weebly.com/
As we get closer to the start date of CCSC, we will posting the background guides there. I'd like to thank the following schools and their respective Model UN coaches for attending SWCHSMUN this year: Aden Bowman Collegiate, All Saints High School, Bowness High School, Calgary French and International School, Central Memorial High School, Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School, Henry Wise Wood High School, James Fowler High School, Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School, Nelson Mandela High School, Robert Thirsk High School, Sir Winston Churchill High School, Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School, Webber Academy, Western Canada High School, Westmount Charter School, and our independent delegates from Old Scona Academic High School. It is strongly recommended that delegates familiarize themselves with the rules and procedures of SWCHSMUN. Please look over the Delegate Preparation Guide and check out the submenu under DELEGATES for more information about research and preparation, and resources on in-committee rules and procedures.
Delegates are welcome to bring digital devices (laptops, tablets, cellphones) to SWCHSMUN, however, they are are to be used only during unmoderated caucuses to write working papers. If delegates wish to write their working papers during moderated caucuses they must leave their committee rooms with other sponsors of the working paper to write it.
All committee topic research and country research should be completed before the start of SWCHSMUN on Friday, October 21st. Delegates are NOT to be on cellphones, tablets, or their laptops during committee sessions. Schedule for SWCHSMUN 2022: *all times are MDT (UTC -6)
