African Union (AU)
The African Union is a fifty-four member governing body that serves as the Pan African Congress and works to promote peace and development throughout the African Continent. Based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the African Union holds annual summits, conferences and caucuses on pressing issues in Africa. Some of these issues have ranged from the conflict in the Central African Republic, to loss of biodiversity to public health issues like AIDS. Though the African Union is the overlying committee in Africa, the African Union also has a large amount of subcommittees that focus on certain regions, issues, or conflicts.
This committee is intended for BEGINNER or INTERMEDIATE level delegates.
